Sunnyland Mills Pearled Wheat is a perfect culinary ingredient for pilafs, salads, breads, soups, desserts and warm side dishes. With a mild, non-bitter taste, our pearled wheat can also be cooked as you would farro or barley: boiled until the water absorbs into the grains - or pasta style, where you drain the extra water from the pearled wheat. This wonderfully chewy wheat product will add textural variation and heft to mushroom soup, lentil soup, Sicilian Tomato Soup -‚ or soups that would otherwise call for barley or farro.
