Pasta is one of the world's most beloved of comfort foods and has been a part of the Mediterranean Diet since ancient Greece. Of all the shapes and sizes of pasta, nothing is more classic than spaghetti! At Misko, we have been making traditional Italian-style pasta in Greece since 1927. Misko #6 Spaghetti is delicious cooked al dente and paired with any manner of sauce: from a classic aglio e olio (garlic and olive oil) or alle vongole (garlic, clams and parsley) to Marinara, Bolognese, Puttanesca, pesto, all'arrabiata, Carbonara - and of course, meatballs! In Greece, "macaronada" or spaghetti, is often served with a hearty, thick tomato and ground meat sauce seasoned with cinnamon, allspice and cloves. For a wonderful Greek-inspired pasta, cook Misko Spaghetti al dente and serve with olive oil, chopped parsley and grated Kefalotyri cheese. Or, enjoy with a brown butter sauce, topped with grated Mizithra cheese. For a delicious vegetarian meal, serve our spaghetti with sauteed garlic, onions, mushrooms, kale and roasted brussels sprouts. For an addictive brunch dish, scramble your leftover cold spaghetti with eggs and a touch of truffle oil. Top with grated parmesan cheese and serve with a crisp green salad.
