Traveling and cooking around the world for the last several years, Chef Lior Lev Sercarz worked with some of the worlds best chefs including, most notably, spice master Olivier Roellinger. Lior uses the best spices from around the world to obtain fresh, aromatic, and powerful flavor in creating his own blends. This Yemenite-inspired blend, sometimes also called hawaij, is traditionally used for soup and made with aromatic turmeric, cumin, and black pepper. Both pungent and savory, Hawayej is wonderful in stews and perfect for elevating roasted vegetables.
